Wall Penstocks, also known as Sluice Gates, are made as a welded assembly construction and usually made for water applications for isolation or flow control services. The seal is done in all four sides of the gate and can work to seal in both directions (bi-directional design) as standard. Mechanical or chemical anchors can be considered to fit the penstock on the concrete wall.
Our Engineering team is able to perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as well as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for all penstock components and assemblies. Customers appreciate reliable values to evaluate controllability of PARAVALVES Wall mounted or embedded Penstocks and channel Penstocks. Therefore, for every project we can perform direct fluid studies to obtain valve inherent flow characteristic curve so end user can evaluate pressure difference at most valve positions and flow values.
